Karen has been practicing yoga since 2006. Being an accomplished runner, she thought she was in good shape. When she entered her first yoga class, she realized she wasn’t as strong as she thought. Yoga showed Karen where her weaknesses, imbalances and strengths were. It gave her a body awareness she did not possess before. Although Karen's practice started out strictly as a physical practice, over the years it has become her lifestyle. This practice has changed her diet, elevated her consciousness and has given her a sense of freedom.
Karen received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2014, followed by another 60 hours of training in 2015. She has completed several workshops and classes in various types of yoga and is a firm believer in always being a student. Karen believes yoga can benefit everyone! It's an awesome discipline on its own and is the perfect compliment to any other activity you may do. It aids in injury prevention and increased performance.
The styles of yoga Karen teaches are power vinyasa flow, Ashtanga and Kundalini. In her own practice she has discovered strength, flexibility, and a calmer inner being. She would love to help you explore the benefits yoga she has had in your own practice!
